LG Electronics announced Monday the XL version of their Optimus G Pro device.
Releasing on Wednesday in Korea, and 2nd quarter in North American and Japanese markets, the Optimus G Pro will carry a 5.5 inch, 1080p display. The phone's screen is crisp, with a pixel density of 400 pixels per inch. It's the first phone tablet phablet to come with a Snapdragon 600 processor.?

This updated version carries along with it a larger battery than the model announced last month in Japan, weighing in at 3,140 mAh. The device also comes with a 13 megapixel camera and 2GB of RAM.
LG's Optimus G Pro will be offered in their home country for the price of 968,000 won, or about $897 US dollars. Presumably the phone is being sold unlocked overseas and the price may be less, coupled with a contract, when it reaches our shores.
The phone is in the same class of device as gadgets like Samsung's Galaxy Note. With 5.5 inches of liquid crystal, these devices occupy a space between smartphone and tablet. Though looking at the popularity of the Galaxy Note, one may notice these size devices are becoming more and more commonplace.?
